Lol! this report is trending online, i don't know how true it is...Read below;
An aide to President Muhammadu Buhari has said that the president hasn’t appointed many women into his government because he’s ‘shy’ around them.
Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant, Political Matters, Gideon Samani made the comment in Abuja on Thursday, October 22, 2015 during a lecture series organised by the Change We Need in Nigeria group.
“If you are close to Mr. President, you will know that he has the interest of the nation as his uppermost priority. He did not intentionally marginalise women,” Samani said.
“It is just that Mr. President is shy with women. He has been interacting mostly with men. I can assure you that in the shortest time, this issue of gender inequality will be dealt with,” he added.
Buhari has been criticized for his lopsided appointments which many say favour the North.
Meanwhile, the president’s ministerial nominees are still being screened by the Senate.
The upper legislative chamber has so far screened 26 out of Buhari’s 36 candidates.
