Only an Igbo man can take Nigeria out of recession - Primate Ayodele

Nigeria's present economic woes can only be resolved if an Igbo man is placed at the helm of the country's economic affairs.

This is the candid solution proferred by Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, the Spiritual head of INRI Spiritual Evangelical Church during a chat with NAIJ.com.

According to the fearless prophet, the present day Nigeria is not being managed by the right set of people and unless they are removed and replaced with the appropriate solutions, there may never be light at the end of the tunnel.

He said: "the CBN governor, like I said before now, has to be removed because he is not the solution to Nigeria's economic woes.

"All the members constituting the country's economic team have to be removed if this administration wants to show us that they are serious about getting us out of recession.

"An Igbo man should head the economic team and recession will come to an end. Even the minister of Finance should be removed and those who understand what the economic situation is all about should be made to occupy the position."

He explained further that the Nigerian government should do away with dollar and form an alliance with the Chinese "and let us see what will happen to our economy."

Recently, the Primate was hailed by Sa'adu Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto for being a good ambassador in Nigeria's war against religious crisis.

The Sultan who was represented by the Alhaji Aminu Idris Yaro, the Sarkin Hausawan Lagos, described Primate Ayodele as a brother from another mother.

Watch out for an explosive interview with the prophet on Sunday.

Fire for fire; Nigerians confront South Africans with guns

Following several attacks on Nigerians by South Africans, Nigerians in South Africa have allegedly taken up arms to defend themselves against xenophobic attacks currently going on in the country.

The ongoing alleged xenophobic attacks on Nigerians by South African reportedly taken a new turn on Friday, February 24.

Reports from South Africa claimed that Nigerians have taken up arms in self defense against protesters who are reportedly marching against the continuous stay of Nigerians in the country.

Nigerians fight back in South Africa, confront protesters with guns

The protesters believe that foreigners are taking over their jobs and business opportunities.

South Africa based pastor and former Nigerian Footballer pastor Idah Peterside reports that there was a stand-off in Pretoria, South Africa as Nigerians have refused to run away from the South Africans who are matching against them.

He tweeted saying:"It's a stand off in Pritoria, the Nigerians have refused to hide.the South Africans matching are been confronted with.Nigerians carrying guns."

Recall that the anti-immigrant attacks on Nigerians in South Africa was preceded by a belief that immigrants are taken over job opportunities from citizens of South Africa.

Meanwhile, South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma has condemned acts of violence between citizens and non-nationals, his office said on Friday, February 24. The South African commissioner to Nigeria, Lulu Mnguni, has also vowed to end attacks on foreigners.

At least 20 stores in Pretoria owned by foreigners were reported to have been looted on Tuesday, February 21 but the police said it could not confirm that the attacks had deliberately targeted foreigners.

BREAKING: Leicester City sack Claudio Ranieri Nine months after Winning Premier League title

Premier League champions Leicester City has sacked Claudio Ranieri nine months after the Italian guided them to their first ever league title.

This was disclosed in a statement published on the club’s official website on Thursday, February 23.

A statement by the club’s vice chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha read: “This has been the most difficult decision we have had to make in nearly seven years since King Power took ownership of Leicester City. But we are duty-bound to put the club’s long-term interests above all sense of personal sentiment, no matter how strong that might be.

“Claudio has brought outstanding qualities to his office. His skilful management, powers of motivation and measured approach have been reflective of the rich experience we always knew he would bring to Leicester City. His warmth, charm and charisma have helped transform perceptions of the club and develop its profile on a global scale. We will forever be grateful to him for what he has helped us to achieve.

“It was never our expectation that the extraordinary feats of last season should be replicated this season. Indeed, survival in the Premier League was our first and only target at the start of the campaign. But we are now faced with a fight to reach that objective and feel a change is necessary to maximise the opportunity presented by the final 13 games.”

Ranieri, appointed City manager in July 2015, led Leicester City to the greatest triumph in the Club’s 133-year history last season, as the Foxes were crowned champions of England for the first time.

His sack comes just one day after Leicester were beaten 2-1 by Sevilla in the last-16 of the Champions League at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.

MUST READ: Nigerians are being attacked in South Africa for these 8 DISTURBING REASONS

The xenophobic attack launched on Nigerians in South Africa has become a major point of concern to people within and outside the country. It is intriguing that Nigerians in that country are subjected to a fate as terrible as that given the origin of both countries.
With the series of events recorded as regards to the xenophobic attacks, Nigerians at home have lost interest in visiting that part of Africa for fear of being mobbed or killed. While the situation at hand does not speak well of Africa as the mother of the countries not on par, there are serious implications that things could become worse and rob the countries of future international relationship.

Within the last two years, about 116 Nigerians have lost their lives in South Africa through extra-judicial means. The federal government has called the South African Government to take firm measures that will protect Nigerian citizens and other Africans in the country.

The situation at hand has left many people befuddled as no one ever expected that a country that has fought so hard to overcome apartheid will turn her back on other Africans.

Racism is at its peak in South Africa as the most of the citizens are ethnocentric and are unwilling to tolerate citizens from other countries.

If an African country could stir and turn its back on citizens linked to their root source, it is futile asking the other nations in the world to be at peace with one another.

Many reasons have been launched forward as to why Nigerians are being attacked by South Africans. Even though some of the reasons are farcical, one cannot help but consider the element of truth in them.

Check out the reasons why Nigerians are being attacked by South Africans:

1. Ignorance and misinformation being peddled by the country’s media

South African media will have to intensify on the things they generate; with the way things are, the country's media is being perceived not to have given the citizens the right information about Nigeria.

2. Erroneous impression that every Nigerian is a criminal

With the type of news being spread in the country, most of the citizens have the impression that most Nigerians are criminal and criminals do not deserve to be treated with mercy.

3. Ignorance of Nigeria's contributions to South African economy

South Africans do not know the contributions of Nigeria to their economy. If they have the slightest inkling about this, there is the possibility that things would play out differently.

4. Negative impression about Nigerians in the minds of South African citizens

No matter how hard people try to make South Africans straighten their acts, most of them will keep hating Nigerians. This is because they have poisoned thoughts towards Nigerians.

5. Ignorance of the role played by Nigerians during the Apartheid white rule

The contribution of Nigerians to the liberation of black South Africans during Apartheid White rule should be another reason why South Africans should spare Nigerians and other Africans from their xenophobic attacks. Their actions however, prove that history is not a compulsory course for them.

6. Some Nigerians are said to engage in crime

To be factual, criminal activities will increase with the influx of people from other towns or cities to a settlement area.

This however, does not prove that the foreigners are responsible for the crime committed in the area as the host citizens may also use the opportunity to carry out some heinous crimes while painting the visitors as being bad. South Africans already think Nigerians engage in crime.

7. Allegations that Nigerian men take their beautiful girls

There is an existing allegation that Nigerian men take and date their beautiful girls. This could be another reason men from South Africa will be willing to deal with Nigerians. Although this allegation is ridiculous, it could contribute to one of the reasons Nigerians are being attacked.

8. South African media is owned by powerful interests groups who push xenophobic agenda against Nigerians

The xenophobic attacks being launched on Nigeria may be propelled by the powerful groups behind the South African media. Nigerians are not safe with the ill thoughts being nursed against them by their fellow Africans.

In Nigeria meanwhile, women have taken a bold step to express themselves. Watch the video below to see how women led the pro-Buhari protest in Katsina:

After Declaring His Love For Jesus Christ, Muslims Did The Unthinkable To This Pastor. Now He Has A Message For Christians

Pastor Umar Mulinde was born in Uganda and raised as a Muslim. His father was even a local Muslim leader. But when he experienced the love of Jesus Christ, Umar converted to Christianity. This was a brave thing to do in the highly Muslim country.

But he believed in Christ so passionately, that he not only wanted to be Christian, but to inspire others to be Christian, too. So he became a Christian pastor in his small town. For this, he was hated by many of the Muslims that he had formerly known as friends. And then, one evening, he was attacked.

“Pastor,” a man called to him in the darkness. AS he turned around, the man through acid on Mulinde’s face, burning him horrifically on half of his face. But he still has hope. And he has a powerful message for Americans: “GOD ALMIGHTY HAS GIVEN YOU THE GRACE. WHATEVER YOU DO IN AMERICA INFLUENCES EVERYONE IN THE WORLD. YOU HAVE THAT GRACE. ONE THING THAT ISLAM IS DOING TO DEFEAT YOU IS CAUSING YOU TO BE COWARD AND FEARFUL TO STAND UP AND SPEAK AGAINST THE INVASION OF THE ISLAMIZATION THAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR COUNTRY. STAND UP BEFORE IT’S LATE. …IF YOU GET [SIC] AFRAID TODAY, WITHIN TIME, YOU WILL FIND YOUR CHILDREN AND YOUR GRANDCHILDREN BEING MUSLIMS AND TORTURING OTHER PEOPLE. STAND UP NOW AND DEFEAT THE CHALLENGE OF THE GLOBAL ISLAMIZATION AGENDA.” Do you agree?

2 years after, Harrison Ford is involved in another plane crash

Hollywood star, Harrison Ford was aboard a small plane that landed on a taxiway of a California airport, flying directly over a waiting American Airlines 737 on Monday.

Confirming the incident, the Federal Aviation Administration, which is yet to identify who was piloting the plane said the actor's Aviat Husky single-engine propellor plane was cleared to land on Runway 20L at John Wayne Airport in Orange County.

The FAA said the pilot repeated the approved landing clearance back to the air traffic controller. "The pilot then landed on a taxiway that runs parallel to the runway, overflying a Boeing 737 that was holding short of the runway". The 737-800, operated by American Airlines, had 110 passengers and six crew aboard. The flight departed the gate from Orange County for Dallas just after noon.
Harrison Ford experienced an engine failure on his single-engine Ryan Aeronautical ST3KR in March 2015, performing an emergency landing on a golf course. Back then, he was seriously injured in the accident and the NTSB traced the cause to a failed part inside the engine's carburetor.

House Committee launch an investigation into Donald Trump’s alleged security breaches at his Mar-a-Lago estate

Following revelations that President Trump discussed North Korea’s ballistic missile test over dinner with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and other guests at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, the House Oversight Committee has launched an investigation into the alleged security breaches.
In a letter to the chief of staff, Reince Priebus, the committee chairman, Jason Chaffetz, has asked the President's team to provide proof of his security protocols at his estate and how they were maintained.

The President was also asked in the letter to explain why he reviewed White House documents at the dinner table in a "public space", whether those documents were classified and if those he shared them with had been vetted. The committee asked that this evidence should be provided in electronic format on the 28th of February.
It was also revealed in the letter that during the dinner at which the documents were reviewed, President Trump made phone calls to staff in Washington DC, suggesting that White House staff used their personal phones to provide illumination for reviewing documents.

To compound issues, one of the guests, Richard DeAgazio, went on to post on his Facebook page a compromising image of a man in Trump's entourage, claiming that the man is responsible for carrying the nuclear football. The nuclear football is the briefcase which allows the President to authorize a nuclear strike and should never leave his side. This photo caused an uproar on social media.

White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, revealed to journalists that no classified information was present during the Mar-a-Lago dinner, and that President Trump had been briefed separately before and after dinner, away from his guests.

Chaffetzwho, who is now leading the investigation of President Trump, had earlier refused to investigate Trump's apparent conflicts of interest between his White House duties and his real estate and business empire. This led to him being booed at a town hall meeting last week with the audience chanting and telling Chaffetzwho to "do your job."

House Of Reps Member Bello Sani Is Dead

Nigeria's House of Reps has mourned the passing of a lawmaker from Katsina State, Bello Sani.

Until his death, Sani represented Mashi/Dvisi Federal Constituency on the platform of the APC. He was said to have died this Wednesday morning, at the age of 51.

“Our late colleague was humane, principled and a cosmopolitan who interacted freely with all members,” the Speaker said in a statement while condoling with his family.
Mr. Sani is the second lawmaker to die in office within the last one year, coming months after Adewale Oluwatayo from Lagos State died in Abuja.

Abubakar Adamu, an aide to the late lawmaker said his principal had suffered protracted illness for several months leading to his death.

Adamu said Hon. Sani's illness became worse two weeks ago and he was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Kaduna.

After spending days there without much improvement, he was moved to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital on Saturday evening where he remained until his death around 11:00 today.

According to PT, Sani's death came 6 months after he was kidnapped along Kaduna-Abuja road.

He had barely returned to the country after spending weeks abroad for medical care when he was abducted.

“He was kidnapped in August 2016 which was just a few days after he returned from foreign trip to get medical attention,” Mr. Adamu said. “He had not been able to recover since then.”

May his soul rest in peace.
