Diego Costa set to leave Chelsea for £30million-a-year deal in China

Diego Costa set to leave Chelsea for £30million-a-year deal in China
Diego Costa will be allowed to leave Chelsea in the summer following an alleged £30million-a-year pre-agreement to move to China, UK Sun reports.
According to the report, Spanish journalist Manu Carreño revealed on his radio show ‘The Rail’ that Costa’s move to the Far East is ‘total’ and ‘absolute’.

It was gathered that the Spanish striker wanted to move in January but was blocked by the Blues.

This follows Coach Antonio Conte’s decision to keep the controversial striker as his team continues to fight for the Premier League title.

However, Costa will now be allowed to leave in the summer and become one of the highest paid players in the world.

Before the close of the January transfer window, Tianjin Quanjian had offered over £70million for Costa but Chelsea turned down the offer.

The Chinese Super League club had spoken to Costa’s agent Jorge Mendes about sealing a £570,000-a-week deal for the forward.

Costa joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid in a £32million deal in 2014.

The 28-year-old striker has scored 52 goals in 102 appearances for the Blues in his less than three years at the club.
