Chelsea have reportedly enquired about the availability of Bayern Munich’s star defender Jerome Boateng as Antonio Conte prepares for life in the Champions League. Diego Costa has admitted he could be about to leave Chelsea, as speculation mounts that he could be set to seal a return to his former club Atletico Madrid.

NOT GOOD; Man United refusing to spend £50m on 28-year-old winger – report

Manchester United are struggling to reach an agreement with Inter Milan about winger Ivan Perisic, according to reports in the British media.

The Independent is reporting that Manchester United want to sign the Croatia international in the summer transfer window as Jose Mourinho looks to add some pace to his starting line-up.

The same article states that Inter Milan are demanding £50m for Perisic, but Manchester United aren’t willing to meet the Serie A giant’s price tag for the versatile winger.

The story goes on to claim that the Europa League winners value the Inter Milan star at around £35m after the Italian club signed Perisic in a £14m deal from Wolfsburg in 2015.

Manchester United secured a return to the Champions League last week after the Red Devils were 2-0 winners against Eredivisie giants Ajax in the Europa League final.

The Red Devils haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson lifted the trophy in his final season in charge at Old Trafford.

GOOD NEWS; Top class attacker has chosen to join Manchester United over Chelsea

Image result for manchester united
Inter Milan and Croatia winger Ivan Perisic will opt for a move to Manchester United in spite of attracting interest from Chelsea, according to Sky Sports.

Gianluca Di Marzio recently confirmed that Jose Mourinho, who flew out to Croatia earlier in the season to discuss the deal, had tabled an offer worth €35 for the winger.

The Italian side will only accept offers within the region of €55 and €60m, and it was later confirmed by Sky that Antonio Conte had joined the race for Perisic’s signature as well.

But according to Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol, Perisic is set on a move to Old Trafford over Stamford Bridge.

There is clearly something at Man United that has caught Perisic’s eye. Mourinho has always placed emphasis on outlining the tenets of a new player’s role in incredible detail, making what he wants – and indeed doesn’t want – remarkably clear.

And the proposition made to Perisic is clearly an attractive one: he figures primarily on the left hand side, and the Special One may indeed see the 29-year-old as a more industrious, prolific alternative to Anthony Martial, somebody capable of militantly sticking to a game plan and maintaining the right kind of intensity over a long stretch of games.

The Croat’s aptitude for also serving as a forward-thinking central midfielder, as seen with his partnership with Geoffrey Kondogbia at times with Inter, serves as another route into this team. Mourinho has always valued versatility mixed with the right attitude, and with this in mind you can understand why Perisic could be his first signing of the summer window.

Manchester United close in on world-class Serie A star after verbal agreement reached

Manchester United are edging closer to sealing the transfer of Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic despite the fact they have yet to make a bid, according to reports in Italy.

Inter have already confirmed United have opened talks with the club about bringing the attacker to Old Trafford.

Corriere dello Sport claim Jose Mourinho has reached a verbal agreement with Perisic as United prepare a bid.

United are convinced Perisic wants the move, but are not 100 per cent sure they can come to terms with Inter.

The Serie A side want £44 million for the Croatia international and the difference in valuations could still derail the transfer.

United believe the quoted asking price is ridiculous for the winger and are worried Inter could stand firm.

Inter reportedly have an offer from Paris Saint-Germain while Mourinho is believed to have already met personally with the winger.

GOOD NEWS;Jose Mourinho confirms his summer Man United transfer plans

Image result for jose mourinho to man u
Jose Mourinho has told Manchester United fans that the club have known who his top summer transfer targets are since March.

The Red Devils are set to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as Mourinho gears up for his second season in charge at Old Trafford and the transfer window reopens.

Manchester United will be able to use the lure of Champions League football to attract some of the world’s top players this summer after their Europa League final win last week secured their place in the group stage next season.

It remains to be seen which players Manchester United will sign this summer but is probably safe to say that the Red Devils are expected to spend big in the coming weeks.

And Mourinho confirmed that he has already informed executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward of the exact players he wants to sign this summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday, Mourinho said: “He (Woodward) knows since March, who I want, what I want, how much I want.

“He knows everything since March and now it’s for him to work, because he will have holidays in August and I will be working.”

Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League but won the EFL Cup and Europa League.

Chelsea interested in making star winger their first signing – report

Chelsea are interested in signing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan but may have to compete with Manchester United for his signature, according to reports in Italy.

Sky Sport Italia is reporting that the Blues are keen to explore a potential deal to bring the 28-year-old to Stamford Bridge this summer as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his squad ahead of his second season in charge at the club.

The same story claims that Manchester United have made an “opening offer” of £36m for the player but that Inter Milan value the player at a price of between £48m and £52m.

Perisic, who is under contract at Inter until 2020, has scored 10 goals and made six assists in Serie A this season.

Chelsea are likely to be on the lookout for significant reinforcements this summer as Conte prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.

The Blues, who won the Premier League title this season, were left disappointed on Saturday as they missed out on the chance to win a domestic double as they were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

CAN THIS NEW MANCHESTER UNITED CROATIAN SIGNING SOLVE THE CLUB PROBLEM NEXT SEASON?

Image result for manchester united
Ivan Perisic has been through a fairly good season at his current club Internazionale in the Italian Serie A. He has made a name for himself as one of the reliable players in the midfield for the Italian giants since his arrival in Milan in 2015 from Wolfsburg.

However, the Croatian might look to part ways next season, his destination being the Premier League. Reportedly, the midfielder, who has a contract with Internazionale that runs through till 2020, is a potential target for the English giants Manchester United in the next summer transfer window and might be offloaded by his current club as a part of their plan to revamp their side for the upcoming season.
The Red Devils are looking to make a bid for the player that might cost them somewhere in excess of £36 million. The hefty price tag on the Croatian is considered to be a deserving one, with the midfielder helping his current club to win a number of matches in the recently concluded season, having scored 10 goals throughout the campaign. The midfield maestro has also been in the thick of things with eight assists and 58 chances created to his name.

Manchester United had to go through a quite difficult season, with a number of players facing injury scares. Apart from that, players like Mata, Rooney and Martial failed to impress the current manager Jose Mourinho with their respective displays of prowess in the midfield.

Two keepers identified by Jose Mourinho to potentially replace David De Gea

Image result for David De Gea
Jose Mourinho has identified two goalkeepers capable of replacing David De Gea if the Manchester United stopper heads to Real Madrid this summer.

Jan Oblak and Kasper Schmeichel are the two goalkeepers Mourinho has in mind though Old Trafford chiefs are increasingly confident the Spanish international will resist temptation to return to his homeland.
But the Manchester United boss is determined to have a contingency plan in place report the Manchester Evening News.
Atletico Madrid’s Oblak has established himself as one of the best keepers in Europe over the past two years and has a release clause of £85m.

United held talks with his representatives in Manchester last month when they were told it would take a world record fee for a keeper to lure the Slovenian to Old Trafford.

And in a summer when Mourinho plans to spend in excess of £200m, the 24-year-old would represent a significant outlay - even taking into consideration the fee United would receive for De Gea.

Schmeichel is the cheaper option - but Mourinho is confident the Leicester keeper would settle in quickly at United, given his Premier League experience.

United’s preference has always been to keep hold of De Gea, with the club preparing a new contract to reward the 26-year-old for his outstanding performances over the past five years.

Mourinho has always maintained De Gea would remain part of his squad, despite continued speculation in Spain that he will head to the Bernabeu.

“David is top of the world and we want to keep top of the world,” said the United manager this month.

“I don’t go with ‘if he leaves’ because I hope he doesn’t leave. I think we need two top goalkeepers and a top young goalkeeper, which is what what we have.”

Jose Mourinho sends message to Man United fans after This midfielder signs deal

Jose Mourinho has revealed his delight at seeing Michael Carrick put pen to paper on a new contract with Manchester United.

The 35-year-old midfielder has agreed a new deal to stay at Old Trafford for another season after originally signing a one-year contract extension following Mourinho’s appointment last summer.

Carrick, whose new deal runs until June 2018, has been a reliable performer in midfield for the Red Devils whenever called upon by Mourinho this term.

The midfielder notched up 22 Premier League appearances for Manchester United this season as the Red Devils ended up sixth in the table.

Manchester United won the EFL Cup and Europa League in Mourinho’s first season in charge at the club and the Portuguese coach was delighted to see Carrick sign a new deal with the Red Devils.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Michael over this past season,” Mourinho told Manchester United’s website.

“He is one of the true professionals of the game. Not only is he a great footballer, he is also a fantastic human being and a great role model to our younger members of the team.

“I am delighted he has extended his contract and I would like to take this opportunity to wish Michael all the best for his well-deserved testimonial match next Sunday.”

Manchester United will be hoping to use the lure of Champions League football to attract some top talent to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window after their Europa League win confirmed their spot in the group stage for next season.

BREAKING NEWS; This Paris Saint Germain STAR holding out for a move to Manchester United

According to reports in The Sun over the past day, Paris Saint Germain and France midfielder Blaise Matuidi has failed to commit his future to the French club amidst interest of a summer move away.

The experienced midfielder helped PSG on their way to becoming Coupe de France champions on Saturday night but admitted that he doesn’t know whether his future lies in France or elsewhere.

Talking after PSG’s dramatic late victory over Angers, Matuidi said:
“I don’t know yet. I am feeling good in Paris. It’s hard as you don’t know the real position of the club. There is no decision taken so far.
Embed from Getty Images

“Honestly, I don’t want to lie, I don’t know yet. I am feeling good in Paris.

“Even if in the future I should leave, Paris stays the club of my heart. It would always be like that.”

The Sun had previously reported last summer that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wanted to bring the 30-year-old to Old Trafford, and that move looks to be edging closer this year.

What could Matuidi bring to Old Trafford?

Often operating in a more defensive role in the midfield for PSG. Matuidi often plays an almost N’Golo Kante-esque role in the middle of the park, plugging the gaps between defence and attack.

His immense work-rate and energy levels leaves him able to act as the perfect box-to-box midfielder, rarely running out of stamina and working tirelessly until the very final whistle is blown in a match.

Although Manchester United’s midfield options are hardly dwindling at present, this ability to relentlessly run throughout the 90 minutes offers something that United’s current crop simply can’t match at present.

The 30-year-old also has an impressive left-foot on him for a so-called defensive midfielder, finding the target 23 times in just over 200 appearances for PSG and an added eight times for France.

Matuidi is also part of a rare crop of world-class footballers that are as intelligent on the field as they are physical, cleverly making movements to create space for teammates in the final third of the field, and his ability to anticipate the pattern of opposition play is crucial to his high rate of ball-winning.

There’s a tenacity to his play – both inside his own half and the opposition half – that would lend himself superbly to the high tempo of the Premier League, and he could prove to be a thorn in many a top side.

During his early days at PSG there were talks of him being able to emulate the style of legendary French midfielder Claude Makelele, and after a successful career it’s easy to see where the comparisons are.

BAD NEWS FOR CHELSEA; Chelsea star Fabregas unhappy with being dropped, doubt cast over future

Dropped

Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas has spoken about his disappointment over being dropped for the FA Cup final, and claimed that he feels he deserved a place due to his form in recent months.

Fabregas was on the bench for the game against Arsenal, and came on late into the game when Chelsea needed to turn things around, yet didn’t really have a huge amount of time to do very much.

Not only that, but the midfielder spoke about Conte and how the manager obviously wants the best for the team, but you get the feeling the Spaniard won’t stay for much longer if he doesn’t get more playing time.

Cesc said: “I was in great form and it was a shame I didn’t start the game. I was playing very well and the team was winning, scoring a lot of goals and defending well.

“That is football, you have to accept decisions. It is a bad day and a shame because we wanted to win. The most important thing is the team didn’t win.

“Sometimes it is all about the coach’s decision. I don’t think I could have done much more this season, it is the coach’s decision and you have to respect that.

“I’m sure he wants the best for the team and if he thinks that is the way to go you have to go with it, we are a team. It is between him and me. I have nothing against Antonio, he has done a fantastic job.

“Of course every player wants to play more, it is in the genes of a winner and I am one of them. I’m here for whatever the team needs and I have shown that during the season.”
Moving on?

Of course, while Cesc has claimed he wants to be there for whatever the team needs, putting his own career at risk and sitting on the bench at his age might not be what he wants.

One thing is for sure – should Cesc decide to leave Chelsea, or even put the feelers out he might want to, there will be a host of clubs both in England and abroad that will be keen on landing him.

Manager Jose Mourinho insists that he has "no idea" if Manchester United will sign Antoine Griezmann this summer

Jose Mourinho has insisted that he has “no idea” if Manchester United will sign Antoine Griezmann this summer.

The Red Devils have been relentlessly linked with a possible summer transfer move to bring the France star to Old Trafford as Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

Mourinho is likely to be on the lookout for a host of new signings this summer as he prepares for his second campaign in charge at Old Trafford.

However, the Portuguese coach was giving nothing away when quizzed about a possible move for Griezmann this summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ while enjoying the Monaco Grand Prix, Mourinho said: “I have no idea if Antoine Griezmann will come to United. Ask Ed Woodward.”

Mourinho continued: “I don’t care about football for a month.

“I’m really happy with our season, the trophies, to be back in Champions League but now I have a rest, to disconnect completely and enjoy my family and friends and other sports I like.”

Manchester United will be hoping to use the lure of Champions League football to attract some of world football’s top players to Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United 'closing in' on their first big-money signing of the summer - reports

Image result for manchester united
Manchester United officials are in the final stages of negotiations to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to reports in Italy and England.

Sky Sports are among those reporting that the Old Trafford giants have beaten Paris Saint-Germain to the signature of the 28-year-old Croatia winger, with United manager Jose Mourinho believed to have played a central role in talks with Perisic.
Mourinho is keen to add experienced and proven performers to his squad this summer, with the winger who scored ten goals for Inter Milan in the Serie A this season one of his top targets.

A four-year deal is believed to have been offered to Perisic's representatives by United, with the salary increase one of the big attractions for a player who has been linked with a move to England's Premier League time and again in recent years.

Perisic’s contract with Inter still has three years left to run, but his employers are keen to free up funds for a big summer of spending as they look to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.

With a new head coach set to be appointed by Inter imminently, the funds generated by the sale of Perisic and the space created on the club’s wage bill have given United and Mourinho their chance to swoop.

Perisic could be the first of a series of big name arrivals at United this summer, with Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann and Burnley defender Michael Keane also believed to be at the top of Mourinho’s wanted list.

Meanwhile, stories in the UK Sunday newspapers suggest Wayne Rooney will not be re-joining his old club Everton this summer, with a move to to China or America's MLS now believed to be the remaining offers on the table as he looks to secure a settlement payment from United to terminate his contract.

Manchester United will be playing Champions League football next season after beating Ajax 2-0 in the final of the Europa League on Wednesday.

Jose Mourinho’s men knew that victory in Stockholm last week would secure them a return to Europe’s elite competition, and goals from Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan either side of half time sealed the Red Devils their second trophy of the campaign.
The Europa League adds to the League Cup title they won back in February, and although their Premier League adventure was disappointing – Mourinho’s men could muster a sixth place finish – the Portuguese boss will likely be satisfied with his debut season in the Old Trafford hotseat.

However, there’s little doubt that United will need to improve in the league next season, and qualifying for the Champions League is surely going to help them attract the top talent needed for them to be challenging for the title next term.

In fact, they may even look to raid some of their nearest rivals this summer, and one side they could look at is Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham, so here are TWO Spurs stars United must try and land in the upcoming transfer window…

AFTER ARSENAL DEFEAT THESE ARE The three players Antonio Conte wants to sign this summer with £200m budget

Image result for Chelsea
As if Chelsea fans needed any more good news, the Mirror are reporting that Antonio Conte is ready to sign a new contract after this evening’s FA Cup final against Arsenal.

There are rumours that Inter Milan will attempt to convince Conte to leave Chelsea, but that appears highly unlikely to happen.

And you have to ask yourself why the Italian would decide to leave Chelsea right now, especially for a club that finished seventh in Serie A.
Oh wait, yes it could. Conte’s new deal is set to be worth £9.6 million-per-year, making him the highest-paid manager in Chelsea’s history.

CONTE: 'I'M HAPPY TO STAY HERE'

Conte committed his future to the west London club this week, admitting he wants to stay “for many years”.

“At the moment, my situation is very clear,” he said, via the Independent. “I have two more years’ contract with the club. Then, if the club give me the possibility to stay here and to extend my contract, for sure I am available to do this.

“We have the same idea about the future. The way we have to do things together, to improve the squad and the team. But, I repeat, I'm happy for this season and am happy to stay here. I hope to stay here for many years.”

CONTE MIGHT NEED A NEW STRIKER

It’s tough to spot any weaknesses in Conte’s squad right now. Chelsea’s defence was uncharacteristically fragile at times in the campaign but they still conceded fewer goals than Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Conte will have one spot to fill, however, if Diego Costa leaves.

The striker has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge for months now, with Tianjin Quanjian and Atletico Madrid reportedly interested in the 28-year-old.

Should Costa depart, Conte knows exactly the player he will move for as his replacement.

CONTE HAS A £200M BUDGET - HERE'S WHO HE WANTS

The Telegraph are reporting that Abramovich will give Conte a budget of around £200m, with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk and AS Monaco’s 22-year-old midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on his wishlist.

The report adds that Chelsea will target a full-back, a wide player and a new back-up goalkeeper to Thibaut Courtois, with Asmir Begovic set to sign for Bournemouth.

The strongest are about to get a whole lot stronger.

The Blues just won the Premier League convincingly, are back in the Champions League and Roman Abramovich is ready to give Conte a huge budget for the summer transfer window.

Life couldn’t get much better for the 47-year-old.

Manchester United suffer big setback as they look to complete £90m deal

Image result for Jose Mourinho
According to reports in the Daily Mail, Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann has hinted that he could stay at Atletico Madrid as he has unfinished business at the club.
What’s the word, then?

Well, the France international – who has a release clause of around £90m – is said to be Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho’s priority transfer target this summer as he looks to make his team contenders in the Premier League and Champions League next season.

Even though United could only finish sixth in the league, they qualified for Europe’s elite club competition by winning the Europa League against Ajax on Wednesday and now they need reinforcements for what is going to be another heavily congested fixture list next term.

The Portuguese boss was hoping to sign Griezmann, but now the 26-year-old has suggested that he could stay with the La Liga side.
What did he say?

After winning the club’s Player of the Season award, Griezmann spoke to the official Atletico Madrid website to give his thoughts.

The Frenchman said: “It has been a great year and I hope I can get better and win trophies with this team.

“I will do everything possible. We are very happy. We have reached our objective, we maybe wanted more, but it could not be.”
Does that mean he will stay?

It’s difficult to say.

While he will obviously not state that he will leave the club to the official club website, it all could depend on Manchester United and whether they are willing to pay the huge fee it will take to bring him to England.
And will they be?

If Mourinho wants him, they have to.

United certainly need a new forward with Zlatan Ibrahimovic currently sidelined with a serious knee injury and Wayne Rooney’s future in doubt, and they know they may have to spend big money to sign Griezmann after he scored 26 goals in 53 appearances this season.

As they proved last summer when they brought Paul Pogba back to the club, money isn’t an issue.
What’s the verdict, then?

Well, Griezmann would probably love to stay and win trophies at Atletico Madrid if it was possible but after finishing quite a way behind Real Madrid and Barcelona in La Liga this season, a move to Manchester United – who have just won the Europa League – could be attractive.

GOOD NEWS THIS REAL MADRID STAR SAYS HE WANT TO PLAY FOR MANCHESTER UNITED NEXT SEASON

The Colombian star has long been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu since he’s become a rotational player for Los Blancos.

And Jose Mourinho’s United side are one of the teams that have been touted as potential suitors.

But Spanish publication Diario Gol say Italian giants Inter Milan are also interested in the attacker.

And their report claims Inter, unlike United, are willing to pay around £52m for the 25-year-old.
Perez is keen to get maximum value for Rodriguez, so is considering selling to the Serie A side.

But Diario Gol’s report says the playmaker would much prefer a move to Old Trafford.

Apparently Mourinho is interested in signing Rodriguez, but not at the price Perez is demanding.

The situation is thought to be causing friction between player and president and his transfer situation remains unresolved.

GREAT NEWS 28-year-old winger has chosen to sign for Man United this summer: report

Image result for manchester united
The transfer season has begun, with all the pressure now shifting over to Edward Woodward and his team to get deals done. Manchester United will always set their sights on the highest possible players available as Jose Mourinho looks to form a title-winning team.

Today we’ve been given another transfer rumour, and it comes from Premium Sport HD in Italy. They say that Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic has ‘chosen’ to sign for Manchester United this summer.
The fee they mentioned is €45million (£40million) plus bonuses, which seems a rather large sum for a 28-year-old who has had nothing more than a solid season in the Serie A.

Honestly, I don’t see any real point in this move. Is he really an upgrade on what we have already out wide? I’d guess at probably not, and I’d much prefer to see Anthony Martial given a real run in the side out there.

I’d be pretty underwhelmed if the Croatian did come in, but you have to say that Mourinho got each and every one of his summer deals 100% correct so we have to give him our full backing.

We have to remember that the window doesn’t officially open for a month so there is plenty of time for plenty more rumours like this to surface before we see any real concrete information coming through.

Antonio Conte asks Chelsea board to sign This Juventus Star Midfielder

Image result for juventus champions league wins
Antonio Conte has asked Chelsea’s board to sign Juventus centre-back Leonardo Bonucci, according to reports in Italy.

Il Messaggero claim that Conte’s request has been accepted by Chelsea’s hierarchy, who have offered a £7 million-a-year contract to the Italy international.

But Chelsea’s biggest hurdle remains the task of agreeing a fee with Juventus, as the Serie A champions have already rejected offers in excess of £44 million, according to the report.

Bonucci, meanwhile, is happy to stay in Turin where his family is settled.

Conte had targeted a move for Bonucci last summer but Chelsea were unable to agree a fee with Juventus.

Bonucci and Conte worked together for three years at Juventus and the defender was an integral part of Italy’s national side when the Chelsea manager was in charge.

The 30-year-old is also wanted by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, who have already signed Bernardo Silva from Monaco and are now targeting players who will bolster their defence.

In December, Bonucci signed a new contract which keeps him tied to Juventus until 2021.

Chelsea FC news: Eden Hazard is going nowhere- Star set to snub Real Madrid

Eden Hazard has recently done an interview with The Telegraph where he stated his intentions of winning more trophies at Chelsea FC.

The Belgian ace has had a remarkable season for Chelsea FC scoring 16 goals and making five assists.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a world record move to Real Madrid in recent months, but it appears as if he intend son staying at Chelsea.

As reported by The Telegraph, the winger also stated his attention of being more of a leader for the Blues.

“Now I play my fifth year at Chelsea, you know we have some guys who have a lot of experience, so we are ready for that. We have a couple of leaders – I try to be one on the pitch. We have a lot of guys who can do that.”

When asked about taking over the mantle once Blues captain John Terry leaves, Hazard admitted that he wanted to emulate Terry’s success and win more trophies for Chelsea FC

“He did something great in his career. I didn’t win a lot yet – I won a couple of titles, but him [Terry] everything. I hope to have the same opportunities.”

Hazard also interestingly said that he wanted to win the Champions League at Chelsea next season. While he could mean that he wants to win it at another club, it’s doubtful, as he’s talking as a Chelsea FC player about his desire to win more trophies.

“I won already two Premier League, one League Cup, one Europa League. It’s not bad, but it can be better. The FA Cup and Champions League, why not?”

It’s crucial that Chelsea keep hold of Eden Hazard in order to compete in next seasons Premier League and Champions League.
Antonio Conte has also reportedly told Eden Hazard that he’ll be the main man for the Blues in years to come if he stays. There are also talks of a £300,000-a-week contract in the pipelines.

Hazard, will also look to take more of a leadership role at the club with his new contract which will make him the highest paid player at Chelsea FC.

Manchester United STAR punished for ‘egotistic behaviour’

Ink-considerate

Guillermo Varela’s hopes for a future at Manchester United under Jose Mourinho have probably taken a hit after the manner in which his loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt came to an end.

The full-back defied club policy about getting tattoos by getting inked just five days before their DFB-Pokal Cup final against Borussia Dortmund. The tattoo became inflamed and caused Varela to be ruled out of the fixture.

Players are supposed to wait until a period without action before getting a tattoo.

Even if the injury hadn’t ruled him out, Varela would miss the game after the club suspended him.
‘Egotistic behaviour’

Eintracht’s sporting director Fredi Bobic was scathing in his criticism.

He was quoted by Goal saying: “This behaviour is grossly negligent and hurts the entire team. The club cannot tolerate a player going against the instructions of the coach and the doctor before such an important game.

“Guillermo’s path with Eintracht has ended with this action.

“We were previously thinking about extending his loan deal.

“That’s no longer an issue. Guillermo is suspended with immediate effect and he will be given a very severe punishment. His egotistic behaviour, unfortunately, forces us to take these measures.”

Antonio Conte needs to sign Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez to become unstoppable next season, according to former Chelsea player Joe Cole.

Chelsea will spend the summer preparing for a Premier League title defence and Cole has urged Conte to copy Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United blueprint.

There has been intense speculation that Chelsea may move for wantaway Arsenal star Sanchez and Cole believes the addition of two attackers will guarantee a successful title defence.

‘I’d go, ‘Go get me Aguero or Sanchez or both, and I want no one else,’ and I can guarantee you they’ll win the league next year,’ Cole told Goal.

‘The thing is everything is in place. They just need an extra bit.

‘What [Sir Alex Ferguson] did well [at Manchester United] over the years is reignite with one or two big players.’

Conte has already admitted he is planning a big summer transfer window with Chelsea linked with a host of stars including Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata.

Cole spent seven years at Chelsea winning the Premier League three times before spells at Liverpool and West Ham.

Chelsea will need a bigger squad next season to cope with the demands of competing across four competitions.

NOT GOOD ;Six players Manchester United Wnat to sell this summer

Image result for manchester united

Manchester United's squad will probably be overhauled in the summer.

Jose Mourinho complained about a lot of things last season, but the mentality of some of his players appeared to really get under his skin and he regularly called them out over it in public. A summer cull of the United squad seems inevitable.

The club can't afford to finish sixth again and a return to the Champions League will test the strength of Mourinho's squad.

New players will arrive, but here are six players United should get rid of, and one player they should keep.

Wayne Rooney

This isn't exactly a controversial call, but it still needs to happen. In fact, it needed to happen a couple of years ago. Rooney arguably should have been sold when Chelsea bid for him back in 2013 as signs of decline were already noticeable.
If Sir Alex Ferguson had remained as manager, the forward would have left, given the pair's relationship appeared fractured.
However, David Moyes succeeded him and felt he couldn't lose the club's most high profile player.
Rooney was given a massive new contract, and has since declined to the point that there's no longer merit in pointing out that he isn't the same player he was.
His touch has deserted him, he looks sluggish and appears to have no chance of ever regaining his place in Mourinho's team.
In fairness, Rooney seems resigned to his fate, and is preparing for the next stage of his career. Everton and China are reportedly options, and it's clear he won't be at Old Trafford next season. The sooner Rooney leaves, the sooner people can focus on how great he once was before the dramatic decline.

Chris Smalling

A year ago, it would have been foolish to suggest United should sell Chris Smalling. The England defender had developed a lot under Louis van Gaal, and was first-choice at the heart of defence, regularly wearing the captain's armband.
However, all of Smalling's progress under Van Gaal seems to have been lost under Mourinho. The 27-year-old made just 13 starts in the Premier League in the 2016/17 season, and seems to have got on the wrong side of Mourinho.
The United manager is said to be unhappy with Smalling's apparent unwillingness to play through the pain barrier. Smalling started the Europa League final win over Ajax, but Eric Bailly, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo, when he returns from injury, are ahead of him in Mourinho's pecking order.
The United manager will also look to strengthen in defence this summer, which could further reduce Smalling's chances of regular playing time.

Phil Jones

Jones is behind Smalling in Mourinho's pecking order.
Back in 2013, Ferguson said the defender could end up as United's "best ever player." Now, Jones is a meme and probably wouldn't get on the bench if Rojo was fit.
He's still only 25, and could be a useful squad player, but it might be better for both parties if the defender leaves in the summer. Like Smalling, injuries have hampered Jones' progress, and he made just 18 league appearances last season.

Ashley Young

Another uncontroversial choice, Young could be gone by the time you read this. A return to Watford, his first club, would be a perfect fit.

Matteo Darmian

Darmian did well in the Europa League final. However, he wasn't really tested, and didn't cross the half-way line. Darmian is a useful squad player, and capable of playing in both full-back slots.
But is the Italian Champions League quality? Could you see him as part of a team challenging for the league title? In 37 games last season, he arguably didn't convince enough for Mourinho to keep him around.

Adnan Januzaj

Yes, he is still technically a United player, and yes, he should leave the club this summer. Januzaj's career so far has mirrored that of David Moyes' recent struggles.
Given a chance at a big club, after showing potential, he briefly impressed before his form fell off a cliff. He then tried to rebuild his career abroad, failed and ended up getting relegated with Sunderland.
Januzaj is still only 22, and is evidently talented, but it looks like a less physically demanding league would suit him better after his struggles with United and Sunderland in the Premier League.

And one player they shouldn't let go.

Michael Carrick

Carrick will play his United testimonial in June, he'll be 36 in July and has been at the club for 11 years, winning every trophy available. However, the club would be wise to sign him up for another year.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Rooney unlikely to be at the club next season, and David de Gea's future in doubt, United could lose a lot of experience in the summer. For that reason alone, it's arguably worth retaining Carrick.
However, the midfielder can still contribute on the pitch. He played 38 games across all competitions last season, and the side looked more balanced when he was present.

United still need to sign a long-term replacement for Carrick, but he can still play at least 20 games next season, and remains a positive influence for the team.
