A concept plane named Skreemr has been developed to take passengers through the New York-London trip in 30 minutes although the plan is still in theory for now. Skreemr is envisaged by designers Charles Bombardier and Ray Mattison. Skreemr is their latest design.
The futuristic concept plane could carry about 75 passengers at a time. It could reach speeds way over Mach 10 - that's 10 times the sound speed. The design features four wings and two large rockets According to the Globe and Mail, the way it is envisioned is that liquid-oxygen or kerosene rockets would be fired to allow Skreemr to rapidly climb higher. Scramjet engines would then be used to propel it to over 10 times of the speed of sound.
