Vladimir Putin has been named the world's most powerful person by Forbes magazine for the third year in a row. The Russian President was followed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who moved up three spots from last year to replace U.S. President Barack Obama at number two.
With Obama dropping down to third place, this is the first year a sitting U.S. President has not made it into the top two on the list.
